Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a beautiful princess named Snow White. She was so fair that her stepmother, the queen, envied her beauty. The queen had a magic mirror which she would often consult to know who was the fairest of them all.
One day, the mirror told the queen that Snow White was now the fairest in the land. This news filled the queen with jealousy and anger. Determined to get rid of Snow White, she called for a huntsman and ordered him to take the princess into the forest and kill her.
The huntsman took Snow White deep into the woods but couldn't bring himself to harm her. Instead, he let her go and returned to the castle with a deer's heart as proof of his deed. Meanwhile, Snow White wandered through the forest until she came across a tiny cottage where seven dwarfs lived.
The dwarfs welcomed Snow White into their home and agreed to let her stay if she would help around the house. Every day, Snow White cleaned and cooked for the dwarfs while they worked in the mines. They all grew fond of her sweet nature and cheerful disposition.
However, the queen soon discovered that Snow White was still alive. Using her magic, she disguised herself as an old peddler woman and visited Snow White at the dwarfs' cottage. She offered her a poisoned apple, claiming it was harmless. When Snow White bit into the apple, she fell unconscious.
The dwarfs found Snow White lying lifeless on the floor and placed her in a glass coffin, mourning her loss. Time passed, and one day, a prince happened to pass by the cottage. He saw Snow White and instantly fell in love with her.
The prince asked the dwarfs if he could take her body back to his kingdom. As the coffin was being carried away, the movement caused the piece of poisoned apple lodged in Snow White's throat to dislodge. She woke up, alive and well.
The dwarfs were overjoyed, and the prince asked Snow White to marry him. She accepted, and together they returned to his kingdom, where they lived happily ever after.
